Floodwood Area Emergency Medical Services Board is accepting applications for the Directors position until September 8, 2025.

The director is responsible for day-to-day operations and management. This is a hands-on leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
*Operations: Oversees ambulance crew, shift scheduling, dispatch coordination, vehicle maintenance, equipment and supplies.
*Personnel Management: Oversees Hiring, trainings, and supervises EMT and EMR’s; enforces policies and procedures.
*Compliance & Licensing: Ensure the service meets state and federal EMS regulations, protocols, and certifications.
*Budget Execution: Manages expenses, tracks billing (with help of treasurer), oversees payroll; operates within the budget set by the board.
*Reporting: Keeps the board informed of key performance indicators, challenges, staffing issues, or regulatory updates.
*Community Liaison: Represents the service to the public, other agencies and stakeholders.
*Emergency Response Leadership: Able to take a leadership role during major incidents or disasters.
*Succession Planning: Working to the future of the Ambulance Service.
** Will be a on the ambulance schedule and be able to work at least one weekend on duty every month.
